The Asus ROG Phone 5 will launch in India on March 10, the brand has just sent out the invites for the India launch. The next-gen gaming phone will be launched in India on the same as the global launch.
The Asus ROG Phone 5 will be the successor to the ROG Phone 3 from last year. In India, the ROG Phone 3 was the only dedicated gaming phone launched in 2020 as the likes of Black Shark, Nubia, or even the Razer gaming phone didn't land on the Indian shores.
The Asus ROG Phone 5 will be available on Flipkart in India.
Asus ROG Phone 5: How to watch launch event
As mentioned earlier, the phone will be launched on March 5 in India. For those who are interested in catching the live-action of the unveiling, the live stream of the launch will start at 4:15 PM IST in India. The event will be streamed on YouTube.
The company has posted a countdown timer on its website which doesn't give away many details of the phone. However, recently, the Asus ROG Phone 5 topped in the DxOMark Audio rankings. The ROG Phone 5 scored 79 points overall: 79 in recording and 78 in playback, topping both parameters.
Asus ROG Phone 5: what we know so far
According to the leaks and rumours that have been pouring over the past few weeks, the ROG Phone 5 is said to come with a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and pack in a 6,000mAh battery with dual-cell batteries. On the software front, the device is said to run on Android 11 out of the box.
The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset paired up with up to 16GB of RAM. In terms of charging, the device is expected to bring in 65W fast charging capabilities and in the camera department, the device is expected to pack in a 64MP main camera.
The media invite also confirms the launch of gaming accessories for the ultimate gaming experience. Along with the launch of ROG Phone 3, the company had launched Air Triggers, Aero Active cooler, ROG Clip, Neon Aero case, Lighting Armor case, TwinView Dock 3, and ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad.
The Asus ROG Phone 3 was launched in India starting at Rs 49,999 for the base 8GB+128GB and goes Rs 57,999 for the 12GB+256GB model.
